Whether you are married or single, you are a whole person, into whom God
has breathed His life, or glory. Each person is created in God's image, with an innate
value, so God delights in each person. When we accept God into our life, and heart, our
body is His temple (v 19). As a wife, I share my body with my husband, and we are one,
one flesh (v 16). As 'one flesh' it would be wonderful if we were also of one mind! In
Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, we are one mind, but we also have very different
personalities, and have to work together, listening to God, and working on our
relationship. |
Some women feel they need to be attached to a man before they feel whole,
but only God can fill the void. God's design is for each person to be made whole through
Him. He has a plan for each person, some to be married, others single. Remember God's
good design by watching nature, seeing His wonderful works that He has created. Revel in
the miracle of birth, and the growth of our children. Marvel at the intricacies of the
human body, and the things we do not know, but that God knows, having created each one.
Let us honor God with our bodies, keeping pure in our marriage, and following God's
leading every day. |
"15Do you not
know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of
Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who
unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, 'The two will
become one flesh' 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in
spirit.
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his
body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know
that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from
God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God
with your body."

We are children of the King, princesses. Now listen to a story of a
princess and a frog. There was a frog, from a broken family. No one expected much from
him. His mother just hopped from one pad to another. And he was a miserable frog.
One day he caught the eye of a beautiful princess, who rolled up her jeans and waded into
the water, picked him up and kissed him. "What did I do to deserve that?" he
wondered.
She promised to be back the next day, and spoke to him lovingly. Dazzled as he was, the
frog did not believe her. He was just a lonely insignificant frog.
But daily she came to the pond, rolled up her jeans and waded in to kiss him. No one could
say |
just when the change came, but undeniably, this frog began to wander
farther and farther from his pond and even to walk upright. When he chanced a look into
the pond, the frog saw that he'd been transfigured into a handsome prince!
He thanked the princess saying, "I'm a different frog because of you." She told
him, "You're not a frog at all, but a prince!"
He asked in amazement "What made you kiss me?" she answered, "That's an
interesting question. You see, I was a frog myself once. And then one day there came along
a handsome Prince..."Share the Prince of Peace with those around you. See the
prince and princess, not the frog that the world sees. Kiss your husband, a prince and
heir of God. |
"What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no
different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to
guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also when we were
children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when
the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to
redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of suns. 6Because
you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hears, the Spirit who calls out,
"Abba, Father." 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since
you are a son, God has made you also an heir."
